Although the impetus for Right Now is the launch of GE's new R&D lab in Rio de Janiero, our site tells the story of the many different pieces of research that GE conducts in R&D facilities around the world. Whether advanced manufacturing for Leap Jet engines in Shanghai or subsea drilling for oil & gas in Munich, Right Now tells the story of a brand using research to build, power, move and cure the world.
Our HTML site is fully responsive, localized in multiple languages, and editable with a custom Ruby on Rails CMS. To help gather materials for the site, we filmed interviews, shot stills and captured a series of animated GIFs on location in Niskayuna, New York and Rio de Janeiro. All moving images were created and posted using our in-house facilities.
